How to Handle Complications
The Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology is a comprehensive, hands-on training program designed to equip fellows with advanced skills in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions using minimally invasive techniques. The course covers essential procedures such as coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary angioplasty (PTCA), and primary PTCA. It includes advanced imaging techniques like IVUS and OCT, and diagnostic catheter studies. Fellows will gain experience with structural heart interventions such as ASD and PDA device closures, TAVR, TMVR, and MITRACLIP. The program also involves training in pacemaker implantation (temporary, single, and dual chamber), pericardiocentesis, AICD, CRT-D implantation, and the management of complications and post-operative care.
